Beneath Life's Abundance

by LadyPearl   Nov 3, 2005

Continuous roots of an everlasting tree
proud to everyone's reactions
to prosper with joy It believes
a one of a kind creation

slowly rots and descends to Hell
bringing forth hate and pain
the devil's angels ring the bell
then comes the pouring rain

upon the world it's shadow's cast
mysterious, envious, thrown around
recreating a gothic past
all light angels, beat and bound

the green turns yellow and brown
sand drifts up into the air
fishes in sand stuck and drown
life left scalped and bare

What has become of the life we've known
when all the good is taken away?
Where shall we now roam
there's no where else to stay
