Desire

by Emily Lynn   Dec 11, 2003

I remember the first time, that long ago day.
It was warm and sunny, the 26th of May.
In my heart, I knew it felt right
To give you my body, to hold on so tight.

At first I was scared, and I know you were too.
But my fears faded away when you said "I love you"
I gave you my hand, and you touched my soul.
There was nothing I could do; it was out of my control.

You kissed my lips, and I shed my clothes.
I wanted you so bad, God only knows.
You layed me down softly on that bed of my dreams.
Everything was perfect, or so it seemed.

You were so gentle and so understanding.
Never have I known someone so undemanding.
You whispered sweet love words softly in my ear.
I never knew heaven was quite so near.

I will never forget your voice that day.
The whispered "I love you" that took my breath away.
The smile on your lips, the look in your eye
They will stay with me until the day that I die.

I'll always remember that long ago day.
It's never far from my mind, that 26th of May.
