A stab to the heart

by Chantelle   Nov 3, 2005

Buried in lies
Up to my throat
Your watching me die
You can hear me choke
You stare at my body
As I struggle to fight
You planned this all along
And you planned for tonight
You brought me here
And fed me lies
We got closer and closer
As the time passed by
But then you turned on me
And made your attack
And it was too late
To take it back
The knife was in
I was on the floor
Gasping for air
My breathe shortened more
I looked at you
Straight into your eyes
I could see you were happy
But I still ask why?
Why did you do this?
I did nothing to you
I told you I loved you
You replied I love you too
So if this was true
And you meant every word
Why did tonight's words
Need to be heard
My heart was the target
And you hit it square on
The words I heard
Still sound so wrong
You said I think we should split
We were better as friends
This stab to the heart
Will never mend
