Vampyres We Are

by jenny tsao   Nov 3, 2005

Vampires we are,
not afraid of light.
We stand for our rights,
though we prefer out at nights.

Vampires we are,
that prefer to slink
in shadows and backgrounds
always unseen.

With great sight and great hearing,
we know when it's time,
to take flight once more,
and become the night again.

We've been hunted and killed,
unjustly, if you please.
We drink the blood for sustenance,
and not to kill.

Our enemies the werewolves,
try harder each year,
to eradicate the cities,
of vampires and lairs.

Vampires we are,
and vampires we'll be,
so beware at night,
for thats when we feed.
