Arms of an Angel

by Juls   Nov 3, 2005

You are gone now
Never to be seen again
Just in my photographs
In my memories that we had

It just doesn't seem enough
A picture of you seems to
have no meaning in it at all
Though a picture holds 1000 words

I was there everyday,
seeing you, laughing with you, feeding you and now it seems
I could have saved you that day

That day you died, I wasn't there
I wasn't there by your side
Seeing you, holding your hand
as you drifted away
In the arms of an Angel

You are so far away now and I didn't say goodbye I didn't say I loved you and I need you here by my side

God makes miracles, than just takes them away.
Why does he do that?
Don't we learn we should be fair
Then God why did you do this?

To make it worse
I had to see your body just lying in the casket with no life at all
I wanted to breath for you just anything at all

At your burial site I smiled
For the first time in weeks
I was proud you were my Pop-Pop
As you rest in peace

To see that flag on your casket was a sign that you fought
They folded it up and handed it on
Handed it on to your son,as he stand proud to receive such a honor

Flags and pictures and the memories that I hold
Are not enough but I have learned

That I need to move on with you right by my side. Through good times at bad times and just try to remember all the great times that we had

*I LOVE YOU POP 7-10-04
And I'm sry I wasnt there that day..I wish I was and I will never forgive myself
