A Casual Murder

by Daniel Alexander   Nov 4, 2005

Said I've fallen for sure
The mirror in shards
And every time I breathe in
It's getting harder to let go
To exhale through this place
Between reality's doors
There is a sadness
When you spit venom
Don't take this kindness to heart
Don't shelf the moaning cries
They won't give a damn
Where your spirit resides
------------------------
Flat-line the pulse
Broken eyes
Drowning in a sea
Of delicate sighs
Large print the words
Call out for you
Tell you just
How they want you to do
Slowly melting away
To the cracking earth
Void of all reason
Grasping for worth
-------------------------
You were the widowed
Corpse of mutilation
Loving, you badgered him
To his grave
You never thought
He'd take another
Even this death
He took too well
Said I love you
And buried in the basement
His mortal remains
And a pocket watch
That ticks away
You can't erase it
How many more hours has it got?
-------------------------
Compromise
Lies
Despise
Cries
Infant
Longing
No mother
No strength
Light
Calling
Angels
Die
------------------------
This precipice
Stumbled over in to thin air
You saw this
And you couldn't seem to care
You drew the lines
When you hit the ground
Shatters, cracks, grinds
Broken body sinking down
----------------------------
Plot by plot
Head stones mark the graves
Brick by brick
Mausoleum will decay
Night by night
All alone in this land
Soul by soul
You will be forever damned
