Recollection

by Daniel Alexander   Nov 4, 2005

I watched as fire licked and raped the same five people you loved again and bit to the earth's core
I feel like only yesterday passed the shells inward
Alive, the only one who has is naked, I have no pockets
This home is hate, see, the food we eat is glass
Where do we hide behind when this animal grows wings and wastes the eyes in it's mind?
She laughed at me and so, fallen, I remove myself, never to kiss her tragedy or feel her cells
It is so hard to burn when you're on parade for the crowds
Ignore me through the bulls march, march away in to the obvious and kept change
You filled your lungs and flew like an angel, it looked like you would blow down recollection
To nothing

I quite like this, very surreal and wonderful. I especially like "She laughed at me and so, fallen, I remove myself, never to kiss her tragedy or feel her cells". Great work.
