Not So Picture Perfect

If only he could understand how much you care,
He's your everything, no one could compare.
Hes the only person who can make you cry,
The only one who makes you dry your eyes.
No one else can hurt you like he does,
But he's still important because of what was.
God, you loved him, so much it still hurts,
Things were perfect then, but time converts.
Everything he says has a bitter sharp edge,
You feel as though your constantly on a ledge.
You can't talk to each other without screaming,
Things before were too good, you must have been dreaming.
You miss those days so much,
When you were happy to feel his touch.
Things seemed too perfect then,
You fear you'll never be there again.
You'll cross your fingers, and pray to get over this,
You were so happy yesterday, what did you miss?
You never thought you'd hate each other, or even come close,
You love him more than anyone in this world knows.
He is one of the greatest things to happen to you,
Because no matter what happens, he'll see you through.
He showed you the things you've come to hate about yourself,
And you know more about him than he does himself.
This was your best friend,
Your unspoken words, he could comprehend.
You two would be together forever,
You promised each other, apart, never.
He was there to dry your tears,
Hold you while you confronted your fears.
Every night you talked for hours,
The years to come "would be ours".
Now you walk unseen, he doesn't see you,
If only he knew how much it killed you.
Doesn't notice you there, or anywhere,
This is it and you're long past despair.
He always stood behind you even when he was the only one there,
He's never left your side, every memory the two of you share.
