Daddys Gone to save The World

by Sara   Nov 4, 2005

She looks at the moon and wonders if he sees the same one,
Are they really under the same sky and in the day, the same sun?
It sure doesnt feel like hes as close as he said,
\"Only a few miles away, it\'s all in your head.
Only a few hours to fly, but I\'ll be home soon,
You\'ll see me after easter, I get leave this june.\"
But she doesn\'t want to wait anymore,
Everynight she prays he\'ll walk through that door.
She sits in her room and crys, thinking about how hes gone,
Untill she feels a tug on her shirt and hears \"Mommy, whats wrong?\"
She takes her daughter into her arms, wiping her tears,
Being strong for her little one and swallowing her fears.
How does she tell her that her own superman could be defeated?
Without him thier lives seem so uncompleted.
Her daughter has so much more faith, when she looks up at her its so clear,
She believes in her hero, she knows no fear.
She hugs her mother, her hair brown and curled,
Looks her in the eye and says, \"It\'s ok, daddys gone to save the world.\"
