Scars

by Sara   Nov 4, 2005

If I never woke again to your face I think I'd rather never wake,
Life without your smile is more than just a heartache.
But when I cant touch your face or kiss your lips its an overbearing weight,
And I know we'll never have those nights looking at stars on the tailgate.
Yet I've found your constellation, but you'll never find it in a starchart,
because it starts in the milky-way, though orion's belt and ends in my heart.
I can still hear you whisper "goodnight" softly in my ear,
and "I love you" because those were my favorite words to hear.
So it's ok if you never love me again or remember why you wished on stars,
Just never make me say goodbye because your memory is worth the scars.
