Breathe Another Sunrise

Enchanted by the sweet melody of birds
gentle music floating within the air
announcing the arrival of another day
the answer to my nightly prayer

The sun whispers it's first breath
gently wiping twilight from thy eye
a magical array of wondrous color
as delicate pink entwines the sky

Sunrise , bath me in your tender ray
cleanse my soul deep within
dry away my tears , of fear
for a new rising day shall begin

Let me inhale your stunning rays
capture your radiance in my lovers eyes
whisper your inspired words of passion
upon our united soul that never dies

The day of my death , he will morn me
please lay gentle kisses upon his heart
for as long as there is sunrise
our souls ,are destined to never part

I will adore you both from afar , in heaven
for with no sunrise , there will be no sunset
without the gift of life , there simply is no death
Fortunately sunrise , God is not ready to take me yet

    *tear*...even if it wasn't that time a month,I think I'd still be crying when reading this...Luanne dear mom, I'm simply lost for words...I've never been this shocked after reading something...like seriously NEVER...in my heart I know I have so much to say about this poem, but i can't! All I know it was so beautiful and you had a terrific choice in words! The last stanza was a great way to to end it! You just blow me away everytime I read, but this, wow, this truly touched my heart...made me cry..*sniff, tear*..I love ya Luanne and now whenever I look at the sun, I know I'll think of you! Great write

    That was EXTREMELY well written! I loved the last stanza, its so beautifully written and SO true. I enjoyed it also because it reminded me of a poem I wrote once, but this is like its counterpart as mine was much darker. Very impressive, I'll def. read more of your work.
