Black Rose

by LadyPearl   Nov 4, 2005

Single crystal falls onto the ground
embedded by the rain
sleeping soundly without a sound

It grows and grows till it reaches the sky
then in haste it's brought down
it's soul wonders the questions of why?

It's once red petals blackened by air
as it has touched the world's fury
the once lushes leaves now turn all bare

bended to the shadows will
shattered, it lies in blood
haunted, hated, covered in veils

a beauty that shined now felled
stains the souls of young ones
to their minds it still yells

Come to me, in your solemn tears
come to me in your broken wings
I shall make your misery disappear

Join the twisted sisters of pain
replenish your petals in sin
renew yourself in our rain

Once again you shall grow
into the sky as a black rose
staring upon the world below
