Hands clenched onto anything in sight,
This life has made a mess out of me.
Stranded in an unknown place,
I don't know how much I can swallow.
Broken and down in the dirt,
Falling into a deep doze.
On the other side of the river,
The bids are happy and sing.
I want to be like them,
Never want to stop flying away from here.
Running so fast, you're faster then me,
One hit and I still can't catch up.
Under the blanket of dust,
Crawl the mystified creatures from dreams.
Phone off the hook,
I can't talk to you, anybody.
Pillow tight and feathers blown,
No one can tell me this is ok.
Trees are now my sanctuary,
With the other wild life.
Warm and fed enough food,
They want me happy and healthy.
A new home, fit with fixtures,
Nothing will subdue this.
