You never know whats going on in someones home
till you take the courtesy to ask whats wrong
listen to them closely
be there to keep them strong

one person can ruin a life
some people call this person mother
she doesn't really care
so they strive for the love of another

everyday its the same
mean things are all she has to say
they hope maybe one day it'll change
maybe one day shell go away

kept quiet so no one knows
the secret locked behind a closed door
these children remain shamed
walking into school sore

the feelings will catch up with you
one day courage will grow
they'll stand up to her
their true feelings she'll know

things will get better
these kids will finally make friends
every night they'll fall to their knees
thanking god for the pain that did end

a bruise or two there
left with a couple of scars
these kids had enough
they finally wished on the right star

knowing this is just a dream
the kids will move on in search for their fate
trying to keep secluded
and their mother, they will always hate
