You and Me

by Sorefromreality   Nov 5, 2005

I watch TV at home
You stay with him at Ray's house

I wear a long robe to make up for his body heat I lost
You wear his arm around your neck

I eat ice cream while my tears drip down
You share a soda with him

I spill my guts out to friends on the phone
You are not one of those friends

I wait for this horrible nightmare to end
You go on with your happy dream

I cry myself to sleep alone
You drift into sleep while listening to his voice on the phone

I dread the weekends of seeing him again
You can't wait to cuddle on the couch in front of me

I pray for this hell to end
You think it is like heaven

I silently wish you would fall out of love
You wish I would get over it

We act so alike
We seem the same
Until I write down the differences
Between you and me
