The girl arrived from school, with a smile upon her face, till a dark shadow appeared, that soon put her in her place. sending her to her room, her locking her bedroom door, him telling her that she, wasn't to go out anymore, He was mad by something she said, but not that she had done, his drunken mind just racing, endless excuses to her mum. Hours passed and a tap at the door, her father stood there in disguise, saying sorry he wont do it again, filling her up with countless lies. She woke up to the broken home, and slept to ease the pain, lying holding her pillow tight, listening to the pouring rain. Sometimes she'd sit and wonder why, her life had to be like this, and what it'd be like to have a dad, at night she'd like to kiss. Some-days would be a nightmare, while others would be OK, but this played on her mind, every minute of every day. No food in the cupboards, a phone constantly UN-plugged, a girl that has a life like this, a girl that is not loved. So next time you walk past a girl, that looks sad and alone, don't think your life is hard, but think before you moan.
