This Girl

This girl used to be happy
She used to smile and she used to laugh
Life wasn't easy, but she seemed to make it through

So much has changed
Too much to go back
Writing this is looking too far in the past

I miss that girl
Being me is harder than it looks
I wish i could smile
If only i could get in one good laugh

Being happy is so overrated
Its hard to achieve
Harder to fake
All of this has just become too much to take
