I Can't Remember You

by Kari Gibson   Nov 6, 2005

I can not honestly say I remember,
A time when you were here,
A time when mimi had not one tear,
I wish that we could have helped your brain,
I wish they would've found a way to keep you sane,
Everybody but me can tell story's,
Of at least one of your glory's,
That you did so many years ago,
Like shuveling all that snow,
I have seen lots of photo's,
But nobody seems to remember that I do not know,
Alztimers has eaten your brain away,
And it makes me cry as I see you lay,
In the nursing home bed,
Where would your life been lead?,
It you hadn't been diagnosed with this disease,
I ask the lord, oh god please take him out of this misery,
I know that I will never know your true personality,
Until I meet you in the life after this,
I can not wait until our fate...

To My grandpa who suffered from alztimers for about 9 years, and recently died
