Colors.

by Steven Beesley   Nov 6, 2005

Colors:

Whether we be black, white, yellow, red or any other shade in between,
what is on the outside does not matter.
It is what we are made of on the inside that counts,
All that comprises our heart, mind and soul.

Take pity on those who have a dislike for colors,
for they are truly cursed and have small and puny minds.
They cannot look beyond their two tiny feet.
Their hearts so filled with hatred and racist feelings.

In the end does it matter what color or race we are?
For we must all travel along the same path of life,
all in much the same way.
So why not try and strive to live together in harmony.

To make this world a better place to live in.
It would be so much better if we were all just color blind.
Then there would no longer be so many inequalities and bias.
No more hate and racial discrimination.

Great topic. really like the poem and a good message. even if people were color blind though people would still find a way to hate one another. this is just how sad the world is.

    Steven,
Such truthful words, my friend.....*Red is the color that flows through all our veins...* I wish this wouldn't be an issue in our society but it is and it's truly a shame.... Great job

I truthful poem! So much hatred and war, all because of race/colour! The fact of the matter is when something is different people do not want their eyes to see it... A shame really, we can learn a lot from those from a different culture.
