Butterfly

Find a place to keep my heart
I do not want to die
Don't let me slip away again
For I'm a butterfly.

Caught in every passing breeze
Lured by every flower
Swaying trees of shady green,
Hight above they tower.

My wings are gold with hints of red
They'll take me low and high
There's one thing that you'll never see
Tears of a butterfly.

It is hard to be the one
That never sheds a tear
Around me my world's crying
And I still hold it dear.

There's a catch you know not of
But now's the time to say
As to why I'm never sad
Today is my last day.

Time is short and heart is pure
Sunshine on my wings
Numbered as a flowers bloom
Leave as an angel sings.

Make the most of what you have
Laugh instead of cry
Ignore the fact you'll soon be gone
Just like a butterfly.
