Totally dismayed and alone
i was thinking this was my life
left broken beaten in the corner
yet you still clutched me so tight

so tight that i start to quiver
sending a shiver to the bottom of my spine
now is the time for a wreckoning
i have forgotten when to draw the line

moving on from the past is tough
and it wont happen for a very long while
every sunrise and sun set falls
when you look in the mirror, the last thing on your mind is to smile

smiling leads to recalling your past
and only remembering the good times shared
with a frown brings even more pain
as you are hating those moments of which you once cared

stand up from the corner and take a step
the first step will always be hard
learning to trust again wont happen overnight
the publics affection you will simply discard

do not fall victim to loves pain
the terror of unrequited love can drive one insane
it's hard to believe love is only a game
until it happens to you, and your NEVER the same
