Happy birthday

by mat   Nov 6, 2005

I'm sitting on the earth, on my knees,
I push the old flowers on the stone away,
My body is trembling from all over,
It's your birthday today,
But you're not here,
It's the first time I will celebrate on my own,
Why did you go away?

I remember the old days,
All day long we use to play,
And then we went in to eat the cake you and I made,
Today I'm looking at your portrait,
All alone in my bedroom, thinking,
Thinking about you, as I do everyday.

I would do anything to be with you,
See you, even if it's only for a day,
I know you're all right wherever you are,
I hope you will never forget me,
As I will never forget you.
