As I lay here
In this peaceful garden,
A garden full of scent and color,
And I cannot help but wonder
Of all the good times over the years.
Guiding each other
With our infinite knowledge,
Cuddling in front of the television,
Smiling our brightest of smiles,
Watching our action movies,
And Hugging to encourage each other
To never let go.
In our garden of time,
The color has faded away.
Did I not water you enough?
With love and care?
Was it your lack of patience?
To make our relationship grow?
Still the color has become gray
And our scent remains alive.
I still question why.
Perhaps I’ll bury our garden
And start a new one of my own.
