The vampire

by Amy   Nov 7, 2005

The creature grabbed me.
i felt its warm breath on my neck,
its sharp teeth digging in my neck.
i screamed.

pulling away from its arms,
i run for my life.
i hold garlic to its face
and hope it will leave me alone.

but it chases me.
grabbing, prodding, pouncing at me.
i run.
run like i never have before.

wanting to get away from this ghastly creature,
i jump into a flowing river.
i have heard that vampire's are afraid of the such.
and i am content to learn that i am right.

it jumps the river,
scanning th fields.
it looks below.
it sees me there.

to my happiness,
it cannot do a thing.
it turns on its heel,
and walks away.

as it does so,
sun begins to rise.
it runs back to its lair
and has a peaceful days rest.
