Goofy Man, Goofy Pose

by Heather Prior   Nov 8, 2005

We were in school,
Me and my goofy man.
I had my camera,
Ready to take his picture.

He didn't want me to,
But I told him,
"I am going to get your picture."

He was standing against the wall,
I aimed the camera,
Called his name,
And at the last second,
He ruined it.

I guess it wasn't really ruined, though,
'Cause now it makes me laugh.
My goofy man,
In his goofy pose.

His hands, like antlers on his ears,
His mouth, open in a goofy smile.
Yet there's a shine in his eyes,
And it makes me smile.

I look at it,
And a tear forms.
Partly from missing him,
Partly from loving him.
I always smile,
But there's still the tear.

Every time I look at the picture,
I see my sexy beast.
Black hair,
And all his piercings.
Yet I also see
My goofy man,
In his goofy pose.
