Snow-White Baby

by Heather Prior   Nov 8, 2005

She doesn't scream--
But sings like angels.
She thinks of the prayers
She sang each night.
So young,
Like a flower barely budding,
She plants a new seed
In this danger-world.

Out I pop my head
Of black hair,
Blck as the ebony wood,
Like she prayed.
Then, my face is seen.
Lips as red as blood
On my shell of snow-white skin,
Just like she asked for.

The doctors steal me away,
Fordidding her to see.
She beps on her knees
To get me back,
To take me to her castle.
She wants her
Snow-white baby back.
