Seasons

by Heather Prior   Nov 8, 2005

Summer only comes
But once a year
Then she's sadly gone.
Replaced by fall.

Fall carriees--
The wind upon his shoulders
He tells us the future
He warns us of the Ice Queen.

We try running from her
But never get away.
She knows we hate the cold
And that's what she gives.

Finally,
The Queen of Winter leaves.
A new birth has come.
No cold or lonely nights again.

Spring blooms all the flowers.
When he is here we are beautiful
He brightens up our lives
He keeps us warm.

Summer again
Oh, how we missed you so
You imbrace us
With open arms
But your stay
Will not be long.
