Glistening tears.

by sarah   Nov 8, 2005

Shuffling my feet along the ground.
I can't smile or laugh.
I won't look around.
Inside is a girl with a broken soul.
Its building up fast.
She's still angry from like in the past.
Glistening tears fall down her face. Her smile is just a disguise.
She fools the world with her laugh.
But you can see the truth when you look in her eyes.
She cares about others before herself; she's the one there for you when your heart starts to melt.
Events replay in her mind.
She dreams of things she cannot say, she's scared a lot of the time.
She remembers every detail of every fight she's had.
There are too many fights to count.
She writes poems about it in her pad.
She's tried so hard to keep the name she has.
She's not hated like she used to be.
The names use to hurt her bad.
She cries at night to let her emotions out.
She doesn't want to box them in.
She always has an excuse they say. She can't please them.
She can never win.
She has so many doubts about herself that she just doesn't want to be around.
Happiness and self assurance is what she still hasn't found.
She's over this life and over the world.
Everyone tries to cheer her, up but she's still a broken girl.
So call it what you want. Even call it a sook.
To let this out it was so hard.
You'll never know how long it took.
This is my poem about myself.
I can't help this feeling. This is how I feel. That's what i've been believing.
I'm not afraid, just over it all. Coz I have no one. To catch me when I fall.
So now you know the truth.
