Sound of Doom

by Ashelin   Nov 8, 2005

She stood there, so very still
Holding her breath, and her will
If she was caught, her life would end
For her life, she was not willing to spend

She glanced down, at her small bag
All she owned, wrapped in that little rag
She was on the run, from a strange creature
A creature acting as the grim reaper

She glanced about, then ran forth
Into the night, for all she was worth
She stumbled and fell, into the gloom
She could hear it coming, it was the sound of doom.

I really liked how you described your words so that I could see a picture in each sentence.
