Control

by the one you forgot   Nov 8, 2005

Walking through this life,
Struggling for control
Of myself.
Friends persuasive,
Parents nagging.

Don't fight for me,
I have enough fights.
Now I just want
Control
Of myself again,
So give it back.

Walking through this town,
Not listening,
Not caring.
You have control,
You abuse it.
Can't do what I want,
Can't say what I want,
Can't think what I want.
All I want is
Control.
You're saving me,
In your mind,
In your eyes.
You're killing me,
In my mind,
In my eyes.
Want to say loud and clear,
Give me back
Control.
I want to run things,
I want to be the boss.
I can do it.
I will do it.
Will you let me?
Don't talk to you,
Don't call you.
Because I want
Control
Of my life again.
Give it up.
Don't fight for me.
I'm fighting the person
Who is fighting for me.
Just to keep her control.
Give it back,
Give it up,
I want my life back.
I want my
Control
Back.
