-this doesn't rhyme, but i wrote it for my friend for her assignment n she really liked it....it's supposed to be about a really pretty picture of paradise-
Oh Lord,
as I look around at your marvelous creation,
I wish life could be as peaceful as this moment.
So this is my prayer to you...
Let these smooth flowing waters flow into our hearts,
Let the gentle breeze stop us in our paths so we may come to appreciate what you have created, rather than destroying it.
Let the warm sand move through our toes, so that we may feel that the earth is much more gentle than it seems.
Let the sun warm our backs, so we can realize that a blissful paradise is much easier to be in; rather than a hateful war.
Oh Lord,
Sometimes I just close my eyes and imagine myself in your peaceful paradise.
Let the cold winters bring those gorgeous summers all of us look forward too.
Give us the strength to get through the winter, so we may be in the paradise of peace we all dream of. You've given me a taste of this paradise and I wish to thank you for it.
Thank you for the strength you gave me to get here.
For the strength and patience needed.
Thank you for these waters, and rays of warmth I've felt.
Oh Lord,
I can only think of you when I am here, for in your creations beauty, I see you.
Your waters baptize our children into your kingdom.
Your earth provides bountiful wheat for our bread.
Your sun brings warmth not only onto our skin, but also in our heart.
Lord without you, there would be no paradise, no us.
Your love surrounds me in your paradise so it is you I can only bring my gratitude toward,
Thank you Lord for helping me, be a part of this peace.
