The Old Folks

by Len Vanek   Nov 9, 2005

They look at there photo's
and yearn for the past
there memories are real
the loneliness is vast
there yearning for friendship
just someone to talk to

there families all grown
with families of there own
can't spend time with the old folks
to busy with there own
the old folks are lonly and all alone
waiting all day, the phone for a call
from a friend or loved one
with no luck at all
weeks become months than becme years forgotten by loved ones we thought that were dear
to feel the ache in your heart
you both feel the same
knowing tears may soon start
why is it this way
