The Last Letter

by Manda   Nov 9, 2005

Dear Mommy and Daddy,
This letter is to say goodbye.
Please don't be sad,
And please don't cry.
And to my older brothers,
Thanks is what I must say.
For always protecting me,
And loving me every day.
Tell them to be nice,
To all those girls.
Tell them to stay out of car wrecks,
And do good in school.
To my little niece,
Who is growing up so fast.
Tell her to enjoy everything,
While it lasts.
Tell her to run away,
From those boys at school.
Tell her to say no,
And tell them that they are a fool.
And to my little nephew,
You must tell him stories of me.
Tell him all the good and bad times,
And tell him I say sorry.
Tell him I say,
To chase his dreams,
No matter what they are,
Or how unreal they seem.
For the rest of my family,
Send them lots of love.
Tell them to never forget me,
And I'll be looking from above.
To all my friends,
Love and thanks must be said.
Tell them to have a good time,
Even though by now I am dead.
Tell them I say sorry,
I broke our promise big time.
I just couldn't last,
The pain got to it's prime.
So dear Mommy and Daddy,
I love you both more than words can say.
And I'm very sorry,
To give you pain.
Don't let the tears fall,
Because now I'm alright.
And one day we'll all be together again,
And we'll be just as tight.

Hope this is good. I just had to write a sad poem! This would be as if I wrote it because I have older brothers, a little niece and a just born nephew. Of course though, this is not real. It's just a poem, for poem purposes ONLY!!!!
