She's Not Going To Make It

by TinyDancer46   Nov 9, 2005

I open my eyes
I'm on the ground
I'm so confused
I look around

Sirens make
My headache worse
I can't think clear
My body hurts

I see my car
It's fully bashed
It's from where
The diesel crashed

It's dark outside
And I feel rain
It helps to cleanse
The hurting pain

I see the police
Standing near
I try to yell
They don't hear

I guess that I'm
Just too weak
To cry out
Or even speak

I can't move
I can't breathe
People stare
Why don't they leave

"She's not gonna
Make it through
There's nothing left
For us to do"

I look at them
Standing above
I wonder who
They speak of

"He'd been drunk
He's to blame"
How come I hear
Them say my name?

Then it hits me
I'm the girl
Whose about
To leave this world

I'm so scared
Don't want to leave
Let air come back
Let me breathe

I'm so afraid
I start to cry
I'm too young...
Too young to die
