Medikated

Be yourself, itâ??s all that you can do
Neglect society
They just want to change you
Donâ??t want to see you bleed

They give you these pills to swallow
When you realize itâ??s a lie
They give you a Prozac staple
When you start to cry

Medicine to blind your eyes
From what they tried to hide
Drugs to confiscate your mind
To keep you locked inside
You hear the screams, you see the lies
You see them and look through
You take the pills that disguise
What you fear is true

What have we become?
Our biggest mistake
Transforming to our faults
Now plastic and fake

Maybe if we ignore it
The shit will go away
Maybe if we leave it
The oppression will stay

Medicine to blind your eyes
From what they tried to hide
Drugs to confiscate your mind
To keep you locked inside
You hear the screams, you see the lies
You see them and look through
You take the pills that disguise
What you fear is true

They give you these pills to swallow
Make you forget about tomorrow
Medicine to blind your eyes
From all the hate, the pain, the lies
They give you these pills to swallow
To make it go awayâ?¦

This is pretty cool.I like what you are saying, you get the message across very well without hitting the reader over the head with it.The rhyme scheme while not entirely consistent is still fairly well done.Don't quite understand the symbols.I can really relate to this piece though.Just something about it I like.
