Shattered Glass

by Kaos   Nov 9, 2005

My heart is made of glass
Look how easy it breaks
Remembering the past
Dwelling on my mistakes
To feel again that sharp, sweet sting
Is all I’ll ever need
I would give up anything
Just to see my wrists… bleed…

There’s no one in my shadow
There’s nowhere left to hide
There’s nothing left for me now
There’s nothing left inside
Pretend to be forgiving
Pretend that you don’t see
Life is not worth living
And this is why I bleed

The sky is a black hole now
The sun doesn’t exist
It’s what I’ll never know now
What is it I missed?
Don’t talk; you’ve nothing to say
You don’t need to care
I’m lying dead, rotting here
In ****… I’ll see you there

There’s no one in my shadow
There’s nowhere left to hide
There’s nothing left for me now
There’s nothing left inside
Pretend to be forgiving
Pretend that you don’t see
Life is not worth living
And this is why I bleed

What the **** does it matter?
Why do I even try?
Ignore me when my heart shatters
Disregard me as I die

There’s no one in my shadow
There’s nowhere left to hide
There’s nothing left for me now
There’s nothing left inside
Pretend to be forgiving
Pretend that you don’t see
Life is not worth living
And this is why I bleed
