I Wish I Had You, Once Again - 09/11/2005

There is apart of her she never shows,
She hides it from everyone,
It's never seen,
Her happiness, is it never won?

I swear there is happiness,
Under her skin,
You hear it when she sings,
I have never heard her deadly sin.

I'm scared to tell her,
I wish there was something,
And I let her go, and watch her hurt,
And her voice so sweet, let her sing.

I don't want us as lovers,
Only friends once again,
So I can hear her voice,
Touch her skin, it maybe our gain.

I have never felt this way,
Nedding, wanting,
To hug you, to reach out,
Watch her lips move as her voice rises, as she will sing.

Can I have her hand,
To help and hold,
Through everything good and bad,
Even to help her with the hot and cold.

I don't think she is different,
From the rest of us,
Apart from she will stay in my heart,
Without a fuss.

My friends don't understand,
How I still want to be around her,
But they don't understand,
That I felt like a blur.
