At night she cries she self to sleep
At home she is never in her room
Praying to god to wipe that awful night from her memory
The memories play in her mind like a silent movie
Taunting her every waking moment
Every morning when she wakes up if dares to sleep at night
All she can see is the face of the man who made her this way
That man she calls her father came climbing up to her bed
She could smell the alcohol in his breath from a few too many
She knew what would happen in the next few minutes
As her sisters had all warned her about him
She froze and turned cold lying there lifeless
As he caressed her every curve making sure he did not miss a spot
Holding down her arms and head
The nightmare she knew so well became true
She tried to get away but his grip was too tight
She tried to scream but he had a hold of her throat
She closed her eyes and tried to forget
But it was too real to be forgotten no matter what she did
The next morning she said nothing
She went about her school day as if it was normal
To fear the one she called dad
Each day that replays in her mind
That haunts her so never leaving her alone
She wants all this pain to end
But there is nothing she can do
Without taking a knife and her own life.
