I wonder why I searched so long
To find a place that I belong
I wonder why I fought so hard
Although you caught me so off guard
I wonder why you were there
When I always thought that no one cared
I wonder why I was a stranger
But you helped to keep me out of danger
I wonder why you sought to heal
Until I heard your own ordeal
I wonder why you have such dedication
Soon you became my inspiration
