Peace and quiet

Sitting here alone...kids in school, husband at work...nothing but peace and quiet....so I thought!!

I can hear cars speeding past my house...

I can hear the wind outside rattling my window with the plastic protection rustling in harmony..

I can hear my 2 kittens running and playing in the upstairs hallway..

I can hear the bubbles flowing in my fish tank....

I can hear the kitchen clock ticking, letting me know that time is passing by...

I can hear my heater kicking in letting me know soon the house will be a bit warmer....

I quess its not as quiet as I thought....but its peaceful knowing these noises are here weather I pay attention to them or not....

so, the next time your home alone and you think its all about the peace and quiet...sit back and listen...you'd be surprised all you ignore daily...
