You

by Marissa Methanphetamine   Nov 10, 2005

Remember when you told me that,
Everything would be ok?
You told me you'd never let me down,
Or go your separate way.

But all of that was just a lie,
You never really wanted to stay,
So take all the photographs,
I want those memories far away.

Thank you for all the misery,
And every sorry lie,
Promises are meant to be broken,
And hearts are meant to cry.

I always somehow knew,
My life wasn't meant this way,
You told me time and time again,
You will never run away.

Explain to me why,
Your not around,
And why I am here all alone,
Crying on the ground.

Promises are meant to be broken,
Hearts are meant to cry,
I am supposed to be alone,
So to the world I must say good-bye.
