A little boy left on the street
With an empty tummy left to weep
Wondering if anybody cares
Thinking how it would be better in there
Inside nice and warm
Where people love and never left out in the cold
Across the street a girl crys for help
Her cry is unheard
She has no one to love her
Her dad beats her and she's been rapped before
Her mother loves her but is scared to move
For if she does dad will beat her too
The girl runs away from home after all these years
She gets a block away and sees the boy with all those tears
Wondering how anybody could be so mean to leave a little boy out in the street
She sits with him and crys there too
And told him she'd care for him
And he told her he'd care for him too
Now they both got what they wanted
Someone to love and someone to ove them back
