Until its Done

by Fallengod667   Nov 10, 2005

I've lived a life,
thats worse then death,
My hearts been ripped,
right from my chest.

I feel the change.
Within my soul
for my age,
i feel so old.

Tortured cries,
run through the night,
Dying slowly,
though i still fight.

I don't know why,
i don't give in,
Freeing my soul,
of all its sins.

Even though,
I still try.
Id feel much better,
if i died.

But for now,
I'll take it on,
and go on through,
until its done.

This poem i can relate to, feeling of just giving up yet we go on anyway to hopefully find meaning in it all. I really liked this poem.

I love the first stanza, it captured my interest straight away, and the rest of the poem follows beautifully. This poem really spoke to me.
