This isn't Me

by Danielle   Nov 10, 2005

They're back
The voices, they're screaming to be heard
and I can't fight anymore

I'm tired of pretending
Smiling for all the world to see
When I'm dying inside
Oh, can't you see -- this isn't me?

I'm crying
But you don't see
Your blinded by the facade I've built
I'm slipping away and your smiling
Oh, look my way, please can't you see?

They're getting louder
Begging to be heard
and I'm giving in. . .

I'm on my knees, pleading to you
Just look at me!
Look and see. . .
I'm not all you thought me to be

Look me in the eye
Look, don't you see. . .
I'm losing this battle you've thought I won
Oh, please won't you just see
This isn't me. . .

Help me, please?
