One Last Drive

by lakitu   Nov 10, 2005

Driving in your car late last night,
Heading home, to say goodnight,
To your darling little baby boy,
The one who bought you so much joy.

You didn't know this drive was to be your last,
You might have made it, if the rain wasn't falling so fast,
The tank came screaming round the bend,
Hit your car, forced your end.

Your friend made it out alive,
but you didn't. you didn't survive.
You had only just passed your test, you were full of life, full of zest.

Then he took your life away,
but its for your little boy we prey,
for he will never know his mum,
cos she's not here, she's now gone.

***one of my friends died in a car crash the other night. leaving her 2 year old boy behind. She was hit by a milk tanker. Rest In Peace Karen. Always in our thoughts***
