Their Time

by Shaw   Nov 10, 2005

You cant go back
To set it alright
Because everything happened
That faithful night

You lost your sister
You lost your Dad
You lost your Mom
And everything else you had

It all happened for a reason
But we don't know what that is
There body's and soul aren't here
They belong to him; They are his

If we could of stopped that fire
Put it out before it got to them
They would all be here right now
And no longer be dead

God holds your family
And will look after them for you
He wont let you get hurt
If its the last thing he will do

As i sat and told a little girl
Who was saved from the blaze
She game out alive and well
Not a cut or grave

She didn't cry a tear
She was only ten years old
I was just a copper doing my job
And this story i told

She sat there took in all in
She didn't speak or even cry
Just looked me right in the eyes
And whispered ' It wasn't their time to die
