A New Love

by sinister   Nov 10, 2005

It's starting, she's falling for me
By her own admission
But my heart remains guarded
Through consequence of previous
relationships and actions on her
own part, she has shown me the
unpleasant side of her beauty

The telephone calls and messages
The "I miss you"s
The need to see each other everyday
The desire to touch, hold, kiss etc
All the trappings that come with
a new love

It's only a matter of time
Before the intensity of
Our make-out sessions increase
And a new relationship starts
And the birds start singing again
A new reason found to look forward
To the weekends again

Then just as before will
the nectar sour
Will the novelty ware off
And will the fighting start
That seems to be the pattern

But to live life in fear of
what might be is not living life
So we take a chance and
Hope for the best while
expecting the worst
Such is a new love

Wow! Your the way you describe love is perfection. Glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks this way.
This is such a thought provoking and truly remarkable piece. Keep it up~Holly
