as i get out,
a break in time,
without a doubt.
A tear for love,
a death for sorrow,
a request for light,
and the dawn tomorrow.
Shadows for comfort,
a sense of loss,
the barrier of pain,
has once been crossed,
I look for you inside this wall,
as i stumble,break and crawl.
i cry out for love,
and in return,
i receive the silence,
and feel it burn,
a hole so deep inside my heart,
that kept me safe,as i feared the dark.
I wait in the shadows,
so you can't see,
i count the days,
when you're not with me,
i mend the pieces,
attach my soul,
and take a lifetime to mend this hole.
