My one regret

My one regret i can never forget.
I feel like i made a bet,that put me in a unpayable debt.
The thought of what i did makes me sweat.

I took a life, and the memory cuts me like a knife.
Tommy I am sorry that you never will have a wife.

I was your Friend, and I put your life to a end.
I hear your voice in the wind, from every curve and bend.

You and i were like brothers.
We were always there for each other.
Always had a cover for one another.
I cried when i told your mother.

Maybe it was your pain,that drove you insane.
Back when we were younger we would sit by the windowpane,and watch the rain.
You had nothing to gain with that gun!So you died invane!
Taking your life left a permanent stain!

you tried to do me in! You knew you could not win!
You threw away your life and it landed in the bin!
The taking of life does not make boys men!
It stains their souls with sin!
It is something I never want to do ever again!
