Tree House in the Sky

by BrightBlack   Nov 10, 2005

I wake,
And stare,
Up at,
The moon.

The sun,
Went down,
But'll be,
Back soon.

I stand,
I fly,
I look,
Around.

At all,
The things,
Down on,
The ground.

Dust now,
Falls from,
Out of,
My wings.
I try,
To find,
What night-
Time brings.

A friend?
A love?
A kiss,
Hello?

Springtim,
Giggles?
Winter,
Snow?

I see,
Him now,
He looks,
At me,

I fly,
On donw,
My heart,
Is free.

My hand,
In his,
Away,
We fly.

To my,
Tree House,
Up in,
The sky.

Oh I like this. It has a quick flow that just moved the poem along. I really like poems that have short lines, they just say so much more than long winded poems. It leaves you to fill in the blanks. Well done! Keep it up~Holly
